Requirements for Master Degree:
I. Course Requirements
1.Compulsive Courses:
- AC5901301 Seminar (1): 0 credit
- AC5902301 Seminar (2): 0 credit
- Academic Research Ethics Course: 0 credit (since fall 2016 )
2.Selective Courses:
- A minimum of 24 credits of selective courses (English courses) is required.
- At least 12 credits must be taken from courses offered by the Graduate Institute of Automation and Control (GIAC) (course codes beginning with AC).
- Standard study period: 1 to 4 years
- University scholarship is typically offered for up to 2 years
- Additional financial support may be available through the advisor’s research projects.
- Students must log in to the “Thesis/Dissertation and Advisor Information System” to register their thesis title and research objectives.
- A “Recognition Form for Academic Field of Expertise” must be submitted to confirm that the thesis topic aligns with GIAC’s academic focus areas.
- Submission deadline:
- Students failing to complete this process will be ineligible to apply for the degree examination.

- Download and print the following forms, and obtain your advisor’s signature:
- Thesis Approval Form
- Recommendation Form for Master’s Degree Exam
- Evaluation Sheet for Oral Examination

1. Thesis Topic Registration and Research Objective Submission
(Required for students enrolled since Academic Year 112, i.e., August 2023)
No later than the end of the semester prior to the degree exam, or by the university-wide course add/drop period deadline of the semester of the degree exam (or earlier, as specified by GIAC).
2. Application Process for Master’s Degree Examination

Submit the signed forms to the GIAC Office (Room T1-203A)
