International Students

    We appreciate your interest in our graduate program. International students with bachelor's degree or master's degree are invited to apply for admission. Applications from minorities and women are welcome. The minimum graduate admission requirements are:

Doctoral program

Applicants must be holders of a master's degree in a related field from a foreign or domestic university or independent research institute that is recognized by the Ministry of Education (minimum 8 months of enrollment prior to degree conferral).

Master program

Applicants must be holders of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a related field from a university or independent college (minimum 32 months of enrollment prior to degree conferral).

    Before you proceed, please click here and confirm if you hold nacionality status from Republic of China (R.O.C.). Below is a list of qualification for international student.

  1. Applicants do not have overseas Chinese status (An individual of foreign nationality, who has never held nationality status from the Republic of China and does not possess an overseas Chinese student status at the time of their application) or Hong Kong and Macau citizen status, and who do not hold a Republic of China passport.
  2. Applicant must qualify for legal student status pursuant to Article Two of the Ministry of Education's "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan" of February 1, 2011.
  3. Applicants did not apply for admission as the overseas Chinese status at any university in the Republic of China.
  4. An individual of foreign nationality, pursuant to the following regulations and who has stayed overseas continuously for no less than 6 years.
  • ​An individual who has a nationality status from the Republic of China at the time of their birth but does not hold a household registration must state this on their college application.
  • An individual who has had nationality status from the Republic of China but has no R.O.C. nationality at the time of their application shall have an annulled status regarding their R.O.C. nationality for no less than 8 years after an annulment of their R.O.C. nationality by the Ministry of the Interior.
  • An individual who has nationalities of foreign country and Hong Kong or Macau, but E-4 has never made domestic household registration in Taiwan since birth. By the time of application, he/she has resided Hong Kong, Macau or overseas (excluding Mainland China) for more than 6 consecutive years (the stay in Taiwan per year does not exceed 120 days.)
  • An individual who has nationality of foreign country and used to hold nationality of the People's Republic of China, but has never made domestic household registration in Taiwan since birth. By the time of application, he/she has resided overseas (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau) for more than 6 consecutive years (the stay in Taiwan per year does not exceed 120 days.)
  1. International students who have already completed a degree program, excluding applying graduate degree programs, or who have been expelled from any R.O.C. university, are not eligible to re-apply for admission.
  2. Applicant who violate the above qualifications will result in immediate cancellation of the applicant’s admission or the deprivation of the applicant’s recognized status as Taiwan Tech registered student, or revocation of applicant’s Taiwan Tech diploma. No academic certificate will be given.
