Application Timing
During the designated period for degree examinations, the first semester runs from early October to the end of January, and the second semester from early April to the end of July. However, according to the "NTUST Regulations for Doctoral Degree Examinations" (dated 2011.11.04) and the "Guidelines for the Qualification Review of Doctoral Degree Examinations at the Graduate Institute of Automation and Control" (dated 2014.05.07), the required procedures — including thesis revision, submission of the digital thesis, and the library’s three working days of review — are estimated to take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
PhD students are advised to estimate and plan their application timing accordingly. Those who fail to complete the required procedures within the designated period must register again at the beginning of the next semester.
The recommended starting time for submission is before December 15 for the first semester, and before June 15 for the second semester.
